Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays buddies!! I want to welcome you into our home and give you a tour of some of our favorite Christmas decorations.
Let’s start this tour off with the outside first. The lights are done by my amazing husband. This is his favorite part so I let him take the reigns on how he decks it all out. We keep it simple in the front yard with clear lights to showcase my porch decor. I added a new doormat and garden flag from Kirklands this year and love the touch of buffalo plaid with the newly painted bistro set.
I had hoped to find new cushions before Christmas, but I was never able to find those perfect ones, you know the ones, the ‘I’ll know when I see it’ kind.
In the backyard he has a mix of multicolored lights on the back deck (which we love) and clear lights around three trees. It creates a kind of magical woodland feeling whenever I see these at night.
In our living room, the only new decoration is the ‘Believe’ banner from the dollar spot at Target. Instead of adding new pieces I just rearranged the placement of what I already had. This is a great way to give your old Christmas decorations new life, and regular decor for that matter.
Kitchen and Dining Room:
If you all follow me on any of my social media accounts you’ve probably already seen pictures of my husband’s prized Dickens’ Village. This is hands down my favorite thing to put up this time of year. I usually leave it up well past Christmas to be honest.
The wreath in the kitchen was actually in a guest bedroom last year but I think it works better in the here. It compliments the varying silver and gold elements I’ve added throughout this room and the living room. Two new glittery miniature trees were added on either side of the “Noel” on the hutch cabinet.
Man cave and Downstairs Foyer:
The man cave is one of the most fun rooms to decorate for Christmas. I love all the rustic touches and of course buffalo plaid. This year I completely revamped the fireplace and mantle with the purchase of a couple new items including our deer stocking holder! I have been looking for something similar to this for a few years now. Thank you Pier1!
I used the console table in our downstairs hallway to showcase my husband’s nutcrackers he’s been given over the years. In carrying with the rustic element, I flanked these with two birch luminaries. I love the soft light that these give off in the evenings.
Thank you for joining me on this tour of our home at Christmas time. I hope you loved all the decorations as much as we do. What was your favorite?
Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
